Hi. My name
is Tina Killackey and my passion is paint. I live in Surprise with my husband
and two daughters. I launched Renaissance Home in August 2006 and have been
steadily adding to my portfolio ever since. I've been painting for a number of
years for my family and friends and now I'd like to paint for you ~ whether
you're looking to do a whole room or just an accent piece. I'm also available to
give one-on-one painting lessons to get you started on your own projects - even

About Renaissance Home
I chose the name for a couple of reasons. First, Renaissance means revival and
that's what I do - whether it's an old desk or a boring old wall. Second, the
Renaissance was a revival of the classic styles, of which I'm a huge fan. I
especially love French, Italian, and English design. So, whether you like these
styles or have a style all your own, a little paint may be all you need to
transform your home!
Going Green!
Over the last year I have been turning more and more to "Green" products. I use
low or no VOC paint unless the customer specifies something different. I use
non-toxic water-based acrylics not oils for all of my painting. Everything I use
is soap and water clean up. For stubborn stencil patterns that get caked on
paint, I use Simple Green. It works great and is safe for the environment.
Whenever I can, I renew, reuse, recycle!
Of course I do this because I am concerned about our Earth but it's also about
keeping myself and my clients healthy. Did you know that regular latex paint can
"Off Gas" chemicals into the air for years? And here in Arizona, we stay shut up
in our homes to keep the heat outside for most of the year so those chemicals
are staying trapped inside with us! So whether you hire someone to paint for you
or you decide to do it yourself, please keep this in mind.
